Client Agreement/Waiver/Disclosure

Vaccine Requirement

All dogs are required to be fully vaccinated and in good health. Puppies attending Puppy Kindergarten course needs to have at least one Canine Distemper vaccine and a negative stool sample prior to the first class. This is a protection for your puppy and the other puppies in class.

Temperament of Dog(s)

These courses are ONLY for dogs who are friendly towards other dogs and people. Again, this is a protection for the other dogs and their owners in class. If your dog has/is showing aggression (excessive barking, lunging, or growling) towards other dogs or people, you may benefit from a Behavior Modification trainer, which I can refer you to one.

Follow-Through

Training dogs require a lot of patience and hard work. You will be the primary trainer at home reinforcing the new skills and commands learned from class. Please be prepared to work with your dog every day for at least 15 minutes. Use good-quality high-value healthy treats and praise to reward your dog for their work. Remain positive, kind, calm and confident in your training. If training is not going well, stop! and resume at a later time. Remember to follow through on everything! Being consistent in your training will make a huge difference on the outcome. In no time, you will be able to incorporate the training into everyday life, which will reinforce the correct behavior in different situations.

Cancellation Policy

All courses and private lessons must be paid in full before or on the first day of courses/class begins. You may pay online with a credit card or pay in person with cash/check on the first day of class. If you cancel before the start of the first class, you will receive a refund minus credit card fees if you paid with a card. I understand that situations happen and if you are unable to attend a class due to an emergency or situation out of your control, you may request a refund for that particular class you missed, or we can schedule a make-up class.

Dog Training Waiver and Release Form

I understand that dog training may involve risks to myself, members of my family, or my dog(s). I assume all risks associated with this training class and will not hold Good Natured Dog Training, its dog trainers, or the dog training facility, responsible in the event of injury to myself, my family members, or my dog(s). I agree to comply with the instructions, rules and decisions of the dog trainer as it relates to me or my dog's ability to safely complete this course. I also agree to assume all responsibility for any damage done to property, persons, or other dogs caused by me or my dog's actions.

I understand that all dogs participating in the training courses must be free from any infectious disease, and must be current on all vaccines including Bordetella, Distemper, Parvovirus, and Rabies. I also understand that all dogs enrolled in all training courses must be receiving monthly preventative treatments for the control of fleas.

I understand that Good Natured Dog Training and its dog trainers do not guarantee the results of its canine training classes.

NOTE: You must agree to all components of the Client Agreement/Waiver Disclosure before booking and purchasing group classes and/or private lessons. You will be required to sign a hard copy (printed version on paper) of the Client Agreement/Waiver Disclosure on the first class and/or private lesson.
